AI powered transcription tool for media managers

Integration to EdMon Producer, Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro for easy collaboration with the post-production team in all languages and dialects.

EdMon Transciption is an easy to use AI-software that converts human speech in a video into text. Time is reduced to at least 75% compared to manual transcription, enabling you and your team to focus on the creative aspects of content creation and editing.

Why EdMon Transcriber?

  • EdMon can read Avid media files and Adobe Premier Pro projects directly, allowing for seamless transcription within the two mainly used post-production systems automatically.
  • You can transcribe up to 100 hours of media in one day which is much quicker than any multi-step process required by other transcription tools.
  • All global languages and dialects (reach out if you can’t find your preferred languages and we’ll add it)
  • A Minute-by-minute summary featuring every two minutes of each clip, allowing for quick navigation through your content.
  • Interviews are analyzed to extract both the questions asked, and summarize the answers given to the questions – to speed up searching in those reality style interviews or podcasts.

Here’s how it works

  1. Open the Transcriber: Launch the EdMon Transcriber application on your Windows system.
  2. Select the Project and Clips:
  3. Adjust Settings:
    • Set the default language for the transcription.
    • Choose the speech-to-text model you prefer (the “Fast” model works for most cases, but try “Flexible” if you are working with strong dialects or accents, or a smaller language).
    • Enable “minute-by-minute” summaries to improve navigation through the content of each clip.
    • Enable “Frame Description” to automatically tag and describe the clip based on the image.
  4. Transcribe and Upload:
    • Add your selected clips to the batch processing window.
    • Specify the project within EdMon where you want to upload the transcribed clips.
    • Click “process and upload” to start the transcription process. The clips will be automatically uploaded to the EdMon platform once transcribed.
  5. Manage and Edit Transcripts:
    • Access the transcripts via the EdMon web app once they are uploaded.
    • Use the advanced search features to locate specific segments quickly.
  6. Create and Export Rough Cuts:
    • Select text segments from the transcripts and add them to a rough cut.
    • Preview and adjust your selections.
    • For Avid Media Composer users, export the rough cut as an AAF file.
    • For Adobe Premiere Pro users, export the rough cut as an XML file, which can be directly imported back into Premiere Pro.
  7. Roundtrip Editing:
    • Import the AAF or XML file into Avid Media Composer or Adobe Premiere Pro respectively.
    • The export files link back to the original clips with no loss of metadata, facilitating seamless integration and continuity in the editing process.
